08 — Our expertise
Inspections
Our industrial and structural inspection service in Quebec covers structural steel inspection, weld inspection and non-destructive testing performed by certified inspectors.
Industrial and structural inspections detect signs of deterioration before they lead to a failure, a production stoppage or a safety risk. Construction & Expertise PG provides inspection services across Quebec and Labrador for buildings, equipment, steel structures and industrial infrastructure.
Our inspections are performed by certified welders with more than 30 years of experience. Depending on the component and the nature of the mandate, the assessment can be visual or use magnetic particle testing. This non-destructive testing method reveals cracks and discontinuities that are not always visible to the naked eye.
PG inspects steel structures, reinforcing steel, excavation bottoms, civil works and pressure vessels. We also inspect overhead crane structures and connections, lifting equipment, mechanical fasteners and various components used in industrial settings.
Our team can also assess a building envelope and carry out safety inspections on infrastructure or equipment showing signs of wear. After the intervention, observations are documented and accompanied by recommendations to plan the necessary repairs, corrective measures or follow-up inspections.

Frequently asked questions
Which non-destructive testing methods do you offer?+
Standardized visual inspection, magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant and ultrasonic thickness measurement, selected based on material, weld type and applicable code.
How often should an overhead crane be inspected?+
An annual overhead crane inspection is standard, more often in heavy service. It covers structure, runways, brakes, ropes and hooks, with a compliance report and corrective follow-up.
Are your weld inspectors certified?+
Yes. Our inspectors hold recognized weld inspection and NDT certifications, and reports are signed to CSA W59 or the client's code requirements.
Do you inspect pressure vessels and lifting equipment?+
Yes. We inspect pressure vessels, tanks, slings and lifting equipment, alongside civil works and structural steel inspections on the same site.
